In order to start the retail group integration,
Test Rite has acquired the 50% stake of King Fisher
Group in the end of 2007. Therefore B&Q Taiwan was a
subsidiary 100% owned by Test Rite. The Test Rite Group
has made it easy for Taiwanese home owners to join the
DIY trend by opening 22 stores across the island.
Test Rite Group's "think global, act local" ethos
is also applied here. It gives customers world-class home
improvement products at locally afford- able prices.
The company also utilizes the best business practices
from B&Q UK, Europe's No.1 DIY retailer, but at
the same time ensures true localization of staff.
No one came from UK in its 2,020 staff.
B&Q is the leader of DIY in Taiwan, and this
is clearly evident in the strong growth of its customer
base which has over 5 million members. The company
has a loyal customer base and tracks its members purchasing
behavior to be able to offer them more relevant and
value offerings.
